#1 Postby blizzard20 » Tue Jan 13, 2004 3:00 pm

I say ecwmf mode is right for thur off the NJ coast . That SNE area will get good snow. 4-7 inches for SNE area south of mass pike I-90.

Anyone from wright weather board is down today not loading.

Blizz - your snow total is very optimistic. I would think 1 to 3 inches along I-90, and maybe 3 to 5 inches in the southern 2/3 of CT and RI.

Very interesting forecast from 1 met in Boston, New England cable news forecaster going with 3-6in. across Conn, RI and SE Mass while all local TV mets going with little or none except Cape Cod. That 1 met must have been looking at 1 model for his forecast.

I would be surprised if anywhere got near 7 inches of snowfrom this system, mountains of WV might see 4-5.

Does anyone know the ratio for precip on this?
Our high tomorrow is 25 degrees with low dp.

I wouldn't take that bet....

But I would not be suprised to see a 7-8 inch swath from Atlantic City, through Ern LI and into the Southern Mass Islands. This is probably the best area given the explosive nature of this storm as it pulls off the coast. Not being Biased here just looking at how things are developing. It will be good to be in a coastal NJ,NY and SSSSRN Mass come tomorrow Night and Thursday.

The highest amount: 7-8 inches around coast of ACY or extreme eastern LI WITH A POSSIBLE 9 INCH!

I would not be surprised if EWR got 5 inches!
