Im certain he will see this but sorry Dave you are way way off here on this call!
Please cite to me just ONE just one model that shows what your saying on this first call map out here in the OV ESPECIALLY NORTH OF i70 and as well please explain your lack of cad for the eastern areas???? I dont see a wrapped up storm here moving thru the OV Valley that would be able to do what you are suggesting as well. That and current snowpack along with the others highly argues against what your saying.
So i think a little explanation is in order here for why you say this?
You know full well i have never said anything about your forecast but this is not one of your better first call ones IMHO.

DT should be thankful it is only his first call LOL........He still has time to wake up and realize the CAD, the snowpack, and the frigid ground temps. The VA Piedmont could warm to plain rain during the day on Tuesday, BUT there is just NO WAY, JOSE that it is gonna be plain rain Monday evening/overnight.
No chance at all.
It will be too cold and the ground will be too cold.
Today we topped out at 34 w/13 degree DP. Now falling thru the high 20s w/13-degree dewpoint.
IF tomorrow we saw strong sfc advection out of the SSE at 23 KTS with rise in DPs to 30 degrees I would come on board, but tomorrow we see N winds with sfc dewpoints STILL in the low/mid teens into the eve hours with continued snowpack + frigid ground temps.
N VA will get a brief period of light snow then sleet then freezing rain through the overnight into Tuesday with a 40 percent chance of a changeover to all rain on Tuesday near noon before ending.
