Wed - Fri For the OV

#1 Postby Dr Spectrum » Mon Feb 02, 2004 6:42 pm

I'm bit confused here. The NWS has us for a chance of snow for Thurs - Fri BUT Thursday night is a chance of rain/freezing rain. The temps during the day (with the chance for snow) are in the lower 30's and the temps at night (the chance for rain/freezing rain) will be in the upper 20's. Something doesn't quite jive here.

Also, how are the models doing with this system for the OV? Like the above, I have seen several different forecasts.

Thanks!

Dr Spectrum ... they're buying the primary low scenario going into the OV, which in thus, warm air advection at the 850mb level (warm nose), and that's the prelim thoughts from your local NWS ...

After I posted this I just thought about the upper levels getting warmer. Thanks to you that thought is now confirmed! Thanks!
