Winter Weather Summary
POSTED: February 13, 2004 7:43 a.m.

A Quiet Weather Pattern for the Next Day or So

Snow will fall for some time today in eastern New Mexico and into the high plains of Texas, with amounts generally of 1-3 inches. The upper-level system causing the snow will move eastward today and tonight. Light, mixed precipitation will occur as far east as central Texas during the day today. Enough snow and ice will be present in central and northern Texas this evening and tonight to cause slippery travel.

Snow and flurries today and tonight will leave one to as much as three inches across northern Michigan, eastward into southwest Ontario and northernmost New England.

Later today and tonight, moisture moving on to the Pacific Northwest coast will bring 1-3 inches of snow to the Washington and Oregon Cascades, to the northern Sierra and to parts of eastern Washington and Oregon.
