Exacley Flguy and also people needs to also realises that Dc is a place that is almost always on that line.So it's makes since for people down there to expeck dissapointments in any giving winter. If you want to see winters of snows all year long then I hate to tell you this. But you need to move way up north where snow stays on the ground all year around or where it cold enough for it to snow all year round.Other wise.Relaxs enjoy what you get each year.Lets look at the bright side of things.Dc has had worse winters then this.Winter of 2001-2002 we had nearly 0 inchs of snow for the hole year or much cold weather at all.Or the winter of 97-98.Giving what I seen from ENSO Nurturl winters.Nurtrul ENSO winter are eather all or nothing for the middle Alantic. But not as bad as La nina winters. But Miller Bs seems to be most faverd in years with ENSO Nurtrul.Where as Winter with El nino millers As might be more faverd due to more of a stj in place favering more gulf formation doing those years. So you could make a argurement about that.

One other point.I will have to tend to disagree with those that says that the PDS11 2003 was a miller B.That was a miller A type storm. As HM stated It was a pure STJ and gulf type of system.Which makes it more of a miller A then a miller B storm. Also It sould be stated that you don't always have to have a very strong storm to get historect snow storms.Or snow falls. The PDS11 2003 of last years was a perfect example of that.As it was a fairley weak storm. But with the amount of moster it had to work with. And the strong SJT support. This why the historct snow maker it was.

But back to this winter. There is still time for Dc to get another storm or two before winter is over.So don't give up just yet.Yes it true that normall March snows don't stick around to long. But there are exceation to that rule.If we have a reather impressive cold air mass. The snow cover could stick around a bit longer then the norm.Aka super storm 93 where we had the snow on the groud for a good week.So while it is a rarety there are exceations. So you never know.

Yeah, I just want one 6-12" storm that really pans out, and I will be happy with this winter. I don't care if it all melts in 2-3 days; I just want know it's possible to get more than 4" here!
