Yes, I appreciate mets like Erica, Don, KOW, SF and the others that visit this board and explain what the forecasts mean in "layman's" terms.

Exactly ! They really are Pro's. Storm2K is a high quality weather forum.
And I also think we can learn allot more here than on other boards, such as Wright Weather, IMHO. I have found they are mostly only interested in the NE sector and that's it. Everybody else gets basically ignored there unless it concerns Philly, DC, NJ, MD, or NYC. Plus there are just too many people that post so quickly there that if you have a question, chances are your post is either ignored or gone before you know it. There's too much competition there.

Even though I am from the NE/MA region, I do realize that the majority of the weather focus is on my region - I'm sure it has to do with the concentration of the population, etc. However, I've learned SO MUCH about the other areas of our country from this boards through the forecasts and the member's individual experiences.

Absolutely right, Stephanie. The megalopolis is from Washington, D.C. to Boston, Massachusetts... and it makes sense that the attention is given to an area of the country that gets affected by storms, this time of year being winter storms.
It can be hard pressed to find rain drops, nevermind obviously snow and thunderstorms during the fall and winter months here in central Florida.

Man, I thought it was frustrating for winter weather here - I can't imagine how frustrating it must be for Central Florida waiting for winter weather. You'll be lucky to dodge raindrops in 45 degree temps
