... Snow Advisory in effect tonight through Thursday morning across parts of central and east Alabama...
The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Snow Advisory for tonight and Thursday morning. The combination of cooler air from the east and moist southerly flow aloft will result in widespread precipitation across the area. As temperatures lower into the mid 30s... the precipitation is expected to mix with... and change over to possibly all snow after midnight. Snowfall accumulations up to 1 inch is possible. The snow will mainly accumulate on elevated and grassy areas.
In addition to the possibility of wet or slushy conditions on area roads... the combination of breezy easterly winds and moderate to heavy precipitation could result in dangerously poor visibility.
Remember... a Snow Advisory means conditions are imminent for hazardous winter weather in and close to the advisory area.
NOT ONLY VA/NC...BUT DONT FORGET THE DEEP SOUTH
