Look at the 950mb TD's (dewpoints) at GSP, and especially CLT at the 850mb level (MOST IMPRESSIVE) ... this is what I've been alluding to for the last couple of days ... evaporational cooling along with dynamic cooling as the H5 low swings eastward ...

(Look at the Latest RUC which brings snow well south into Central GA and South Carolina) ... the trend for getting into the wintry weather is MY FRIEND...

I looked at the radar and saw snow in the south, while we have 25 degrees and clear skies. We were in the 30's and 40's here today. :(

Here in Charleston, I hope for .3" (or at least 3.0")...LOL ... latest RUC a little more encouraging at least ... gets REAL CLOSE by Thursday morning...

I have an uncle in Gastonia, and already passed the message that a potential historic hit was in the cards ... I probably need to update my website to up the totals a bit, but I think I have all the bases covered....

yeah I'm concerned my Chief is only going with 3-5" and I wanted 4-8". But when I get in for the morning shift I'm going with 6-10" just to stay on the conservative! :-) But worry badly about a bust too low!

FWIW, Brad, both the ETA and GFS MOS Guidance at 00z 2/26/04 give Gastonia and Charlotte 8" of snow ...

From AGS to CAE in points in-between, it's actually sleet mixing in with the rain ... near CHS, I'm in sort of a dry slot right now, with light rain and 40º ... Sumter, SC is 41º with moderate sleet ...
