I talked with my aunt in High Point last night. She had 18 inches! She's 70 years old and said she's never seen that much snow in Hight Point...

Well, that storm system was wild in that NOTHING...not even a flurry occurred here in northern Halifax County NC (I'll call it the "Phantom" Storm...at least for my area!) ...then again it was a Blessing in disguise since the forecast from the NWS seemed to be "waffling" quite a bit on Thurs and Thurs night into Friday...what with at times mixed mess of sleet and freezing rain along with snow in many places of NC...well, I didn't miss not having any icy slick roads!! :eek: :wink:

My copy center manager's mother lives in Denton (Davidson County) and she also had 18 inches! :eek:
