Winter Weather Summary

Strong Storm off the East Coast
A deepening storm is east of the North Carolina coast this morning. Moisture is wrapping around the storm, with precipitation all the way into eastern Pennsylvania, in the form of rain and wet snow. Some of the higher elevations in New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania will have enough snow for slippery travel, mainly this morning and midday. The storm will start to pull away tonight, but there is the possibility that the back edge of the snow associated with this strong storm catches Martha's Vineyard, the eastern end of Long Island, and even the Jersey shore. Also, it will be very windy today and tonight, especially tonight, from the Maryland and Delaware beaches northward.
The next disturbance diving southward out of Canada will bring 1-3 inches of snow to eastern North Dakota, northern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin today, and similar amounts farther east, into northern Lower Michigan tonight. Wind gusts can exceed 40 mph, especially in North Dakota and in Minnesota.
1-3 inches of snow will fall in the mountains of southern Wyoming, into the mountains of central Colorado.

well John, it does look like Spring is just about here for most of us, we will see a cool down here this week with Thursdays high in the upper 50's and a forecasted low of 38 overnight. Our next chance of rain will come Saturday night and into Sunday morning with temps Sunday starting out in the upper 50's and dropping through the day to the upper 30's by late evening.
I hope to get 1 more use out of the fireplace before this late winter is over.
