Winter 2003-2004
Good evening I live in Detroit, MI last winter had above normal temps and 1/2 the normal snowfall. Could this have been because of all the solar activity in October/November? If so with this not expected this winter do you think we will have a colder and snowier winter than normal in the lower lakes?

No, unless your're talking about 2001-02, last winter's stats had nothing to do with it. Solar activity dropped off rapidly after the upswing in late OCT/early NOV.
As for 2004-05, I have a VERY sneaky suspicion that the lakes will see a return to winter...and perhaps in a BIG way.
