next weekend

This storm everyone is takling about next weekend could it bring snow to central VA or at least mixed precip?

Greg, the storm next weekend will bring Virginia some rain, it will in effect set the stage for the pattern change (Wx professionals please set me straight here if I'm wrong!!), then the next storm that drops into the new full-latitude eastern trough may bring snow to portions of the East in the December 14 to 19 timeframe.

I believe you may see snow in the Dec 14-19 timeframe, I might as well. We need to continue watching this developing pattern change.

I am not a Professional met, but Jeb I think you got it right. The weekend storm may be close in regards to P-Type and will serve as a pattern change catalyst, but after that- it appears winter will make it's arrival here in Northern Virginia.

Next weekend is going to be VERY FUN in the EUS. I will update the BLOG section w/ more details on that tomorrow evening.

Yup if the 12z Sun Euro is right then someone will be having fun with some nice snows.....

Major closed off low over NYC but the trend is east so who knows... :D
