Again the Central Plains

#1 Postby sertorius » Mon Dec 13, 2004 9:58 pm

Hey everybody-just a few notes on the Central Plains: Lawrence-KC Area. Tonight looks for us to drop way down into the lower teens-coldest night since last February. However, it is fleeting-back to around 50 on Wednesday (High clouds may keep that down) then 40's and 50's thru next Tuesday. Looks like one real good cold shot next Tuesday-Thursday, but then modifing quite rapidly. No real precip through X-mass as it seems now. The cold just can't lock in for very long. Looks, overall, to be a fairly boring weather (besides the mid-late next week) pattern here till at least Jan. I am getting excited now about wind events and temps. in the upper 30's. Man, what would I ever do if we actually had a real snow or sustained cold????
PS: By the way, this is just my general observations (which are by no means very good!!) from model runs and what local mets and the NWS are saying-I realize after spending time on this board, that things can change rapidly!! Have a great night!!
