Looks further North with 500 mb Low. Around New orleans.....

Also develops a coastal low just off the SE coast by Sunday/Monday - could be very interesting this weekend as a piece of energy lags behind in the desert SW.

Possible snow north of the upper low (i.e. in much of the deep south or even the coast) then possibly major snow in the SE by Monday as that air will still be frigid along the entire coast.

Well that sounds like it would be a white Christmas for me...even if the ground has a dusting on it Christmas morning, it counts in my book!

All I would like to see is some snow flurries....that's it. A dusting or any accumulations would just be icing on the cake.
It's good to see the models coming around with the precipitation as the event draws closer.
