I've lived in minnesota for my whole life (only 15 years) and temps like this arn't really that cold once you get below zero it all feels the same. Last night or early morning I was delivering newspapers and could barely see in front of me with temps. of 0-5 degrees and wind chills well below -20 below and blowing snow!! quite tropical! :)

Great map and thanks!! By the way, they are forcasting temps. to begin to rise during the night here on Friday-so 9 will prob. occur in KC around midnight and then slowly begin to climb to almost 40 on x-mass day and 50 by Sunday. Reason: South winds and no snow cover-there is a big bare spot for eastern Kansas and Western Missouri and Southern Nebraska!!!

You are absoutely right. Once it gets below 0 the temperture is all the same...-8 (as it is this morning) could be -26 and you would really not know the difference, and this is from someone who was raised in Southern California and lived for 16 years in South Florida. But it's beautiful here 9 months out of the year... :D
