Freeze line extended!!!

#1 Postby bfez1 » Sat Dec 25, 2004 12:46 pm

The freezing line at the surface is advancing in from the west along with cold air aloft with the upper low. There is snow with this feature. Winter Storm Warning is up. Good move by the NWS.

We will probably see a transition from a mix to heavy wet snow later today. Let's hope the moisture sticks around as the cold air comes in. Take a look just to our west and they have snow going now in south central LA, some of it heavy. That is headed our way. Let's hope it all holds together. If it does, we could see some accumulations.

David is giving updates on TV. Please refer to him for any offical information from WWL. I am off today and plan on enjoying this event more so than working it! I try to post some pics of my house and my Slidell neighborhood later if we start to get...uh..."white"!

Don’t travel if you don’t need to. Here on the northshore, roads are slick, although they have improved in Slidell the past hour as we’re getting some rain mixing with the sleet.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Really? Great! So, does apply to the Thibodaux area as well? That is where I am spending Christmas at my grandparents house.
