The forecast is verifying quite nicely. The conversion to snow and sleet should happen for most of the area over the next 4 hours. Again, up to 1 inch could accumulate in some areas. However, sleet and icing on bridges and overpasses will continue to be the main threat.
Have fun, everyone. Be careful. I will be on at least once per hour or more often if conditions warrant.
This should be over by 6pm.
I'm totally amazed at Texas. Unbelieveable. My parents live along I-10 and got a dusting. South side of Houston 3-6 inches.
Victoria Texas 12"
Corpus Christi 2-4" at Coast, including Padre Island.
Inland 5 to 10 inches
Brownsville, Texas almost 2"
Folks these amounts aren't just records. I believe the Victoria 12" may be more than all the snow they have ever recorded added up or something crazy like that. Yikes!
Report of 3" at Intracoastal City..hmmmm
