PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!

#1 Postby NCGal » Mon Jan 17, 2005 4:04 pm

All our local weather mets are saying there is the chance that we will get snow here this coming up Saturday and Sunday, and on Accuweather, which I don't have much faith in is saying that there maybe the '05 Blizzard in the making for this weekend. What are your thoughts??? Will the Raleigh,NC area get snow this weekend? Any chance of it being a MECS???? Thanks in advance.

The 05 Blizzard thing is from Bastardi, who tends to overplay all snow events, but he may not be overplaying this one....

Where in NC do you live? The farther north you are the better chance of you seeing some snow...

Our local mets here in Baltimore are talking about the possibility of a major snow storm. I hope it holds true. Make this awful cold worth it. Kids are ready to move back to Boston. LOL!!

It's still too early to predict how much and where. So far as NC is concerned, everything is going to depend on how far south and east the low goes. Could be just a dusting or it could blow up to be a significant event. As always, the closer to the actual event, the better the model predictions will be. I'd say that there will be a much better idea on Thursday. In the meantime, we have a couple of very cold nights to get through!

And Atlanta has had NONE this winter (aside from the 8 flurries just before Christmas--yes, I counted them).

So...consider yourself blessed and better off than others here on this board.
