The weather sure is unpredictable.....
The high and low tempertures have changed daily. One minute they are calling for rain, then snow and freezing rain and now they are saying rain/freezing rain for the weekend but what is really weird is that the tempertures are going to be to warm for any of the precip to be frozen!!!! Does anyone think that we will see anything out of this weekends event other than rain?? I am in Middlesex,NC and usually go by Raleigh NC's forecasts as it is almost exactly the same as mine here in Johnston County,NC. Comments are appreciated.Thanks.

Well, here in Cincinnati, we had 3 Clippers come thru last week.
First one wasn't much.
Last Thursday's was forecasted to be a 'dusting to an inch'. By noon a winter wx advisory went into effect. We ended up getting 4 to 5 inches of snow, just in time for evening rush hour.
Clipper #3 was forecasted to be worse than #1 and #2, beginning late Friday night into Saturday. First freezing rain, then changing to snow. I heard earlier reports of 3 to 6 inches of snow!
My husband's forecast (a non-believer in wx forecasts)? Since #2 was worse than they originally thought, #3 would be a bust. I said yeah right.....turns out he was right!
#3 brought a brief period of freezing rain, then snow. About an inch at most. The storm shifted north and it missed us.
Meanwhile, after Thursday's unexpected storm totals, schools cancelled classes on Friday and activities were cancelled all weekend, all over N KY, SE IN, SW OH. Roads were fine I might add.
So there's my best example to support your thread!
