They're still calling for 6 to 10 in my area but it sure is having trouble accumulating out there right now. Been snowing most of the morning and just have some slush here.

About the same here. It was sticking on grassy areas but all has melted. Now I do not see how we will get the 5-10 that some stations are still calling for. Can someone explain? It is still below freezing and snowing but nothing is coming of it.

We just had some heavy snow, but I see a drop slot to the south of me in Cape May County. The snow is sticking to the lawns and roads. They have a forecast of 3 - 5 inches of snow accumulating for both the day and then in the evening. It is a drop from yesterday's 5 - 8 inches during the day.

Makes you wonder if we're going to have to wait until after dark to see most of the accumulating snow. Being this late in the winter, maybe the higher sun angle is doing this. Probably needs to get more below freezing during the day now for more of the snow to stick. Or it has to snow a lot harder and keep snowing.

Reporting in from Cape May County, NJ

#50 Postby jude » Mon Feb 28, 2005 3:22 pm

had a few hours of snow this am- right at freezing or above- had begun to accumulate- more as slush than actual snow before it all went bust around 1:00pm.
Currently still at 32 degrees but not much precip at all.

The ~~~~WIND~~~~ is here. Someone got that part right!

High tide will be tricky...

My friends this will change now... the sun angle drops to a degree during the 3-4pm range, this happened last thursday, it will start accumulating soon, snow totals will suffer in some places though particularly south of PA

Clearly Ed, your 1-2 feet of snow "guarantee" for D.C. was wrong.

Yes,for them it was..I mis calculated the amount of disruption the blocking mechanics would have on the storm developing....much stronger than I thou8ght.The 10" we have is just fine, though.
