Thanks everybody!!! It was a typical Mid March snow-wet and melted on everything accept the cars-it was nice to see some flakes one more time before Spring and then the dreaded heat of summer hits!!! We also got some much needed rain!! Interesting to note that the 18Z GFS and 12Z EURO paint a very similar picture for this Saturday and Sunday-def. looks like we could see another soaker Saturday. GFS of course is much stronger than other models, but must admit the old GFS did pretty darn well with this storm-could it hit 2 in a row??? Oh-my students all freaked-most had just returned from the Carr. on Spring Break so they had gotten used to temps. in the 80's!!!

One more point: Lawrence (Again, Lawrence is 20 miles west of KC) didn't get hardly any snow at all. As I was driving home this afternoon, once you got about 10 miles west of KC Metro, the snow had changed back to rain. Really interesting to watch the dynamics here-there was just a small pool of cold air that moved overhead as the low scooted just south of KC-once you got west, the temps. began to rise. In fact, my temp. here has risen almost 2 degrees in the past hour. I just thought it was interesting!!
