I think you’ll be alright regarding the severe weather tonight. I wouldn’t stress over it.

While i agree, I wouldn't sleep on this event either as the ingredients are there for this system to over perform. We'll just have to see how the squall progresses from the Hill country this evening, my eyes will be glued to the radar lol.

Right now I’m sitting at 67/64 here on the Frisco/McKinney border. Not bad but not the most unstable environment but I’m guessing the CAPE/upper air support is more favorable? Has anyone seen what the STP is for today?

Not sure if you’ll land right in thick of it, after it, or be delayed further, but best of luck!

Officially at the airports of McAllen and Harlingen there has been wind gusts of 50+mph so far....the wind is kind of annoying out there lol

Looks to me that the 12zGFS is an oulier at least for my area as multiple Ensemble members are way colder for Edinburg/McAllen for Wednesday Thursday January 22/23.

HRRR and now Euro showing wrap around snow much further south across North Texas tomorrow morning, even as far south as the DFW metroplex. 1/2 inch on rooftops and grassy surfaces not out of the question

Radar really lighting up quickly west of DFW. 30 min loop out of San Angelo is impressive.

I saw the tornado watch for the DFW area. KXAN just said online that there is also one for the Austin area. NWS doesn’t show it.... guess someone at KXAN is excited?

Ok, they were just vague, It’s the northern counties in the Austin NWS area

Same here in east Fort Worth. I know we have the severe aspect later today but once that front blows in the temp is going to drop fast. Maybe we can squeeze out a few flakes in the morning.
Good luck to everyone this evening and be weather aware!!!
