Yeah, I knew I was getting my hopes up too much for accumulation here in Pace...Im just gonna be happy to see a few flakes. If we get more than that, will just be icing on the cake

Local Met at WPMI as of 11 AM . . . .
The latest computer forecast model runs have consistently been painting around 2-4" for Mobile with locally up to 8" farther north near US 84. Keep in mind, we may get some heavier bursts of snow that will make totals in isolated areas even higher. This will be a heavy wet snow due to the high moisture content and this will accumulate on trees and potentially lead to some scattered power outages, but I am not overly concerned with this. I am more concerned about slick roads developing, especially when the snow comes down really hard in a short period of time. This will make roads slushy and slick, especially Friday night when temperatures drop below freezing and black ice develops. There will be slick spots early Friday north of Mobile in our inland counties then again Friday night into Saturday morning I-10 and points north.

It is correct.Has been sleeting on and off around here since 8 this morning. Was starting to accumulate around 10 but then started mixing with rain. Looks like more is about to start up again.

Don't give up..that is because they shifted the onset of snow until after midnight....so tonight they don't expect much.
Same happened to the forecast for me in Covington...they went from 1-2 inches tonight and 1-2 inches tomorrow to under an inch tonight and 1-3 tomorrow....
Oh never mind! they changes mine back to 1-2 inches tonight and 1-3 tomorrow!
What a roller coaster before we even see any snow!
Fingers crossed!

For us, they keep increasing the amount we're supposed to get. Now were on the verge of getting a foot of snow (5-9 inches). I wonder will this break any records???
