I hope the front has a line of clouds associated with it. I have a good view of the northwest where I am. It would be fun to time it just right to be outside as it first blows through.
Edit: Just looked outside and their does appear to be a line of clouds approaching fron the northwest. Can't really tell if it is the boundry or not.

They've already moderated temp forecasts in SE TX somewhat from yesterday. Looks like they are taking the hint.

Just checked the latest forecast for my area and there are no appreciable differences in temps from what was being forecasted yesterday.

Updated Ft Worth NWS AFD:

Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service Fort Worth TX
1210 PM CST Sat Dec 17 2016

.UPDATE...
The arctic cold front extended southeast of a line from Bonham
to Denton to Cisco as of midday. This front will continue to move
south through the forecast area this afternoon and early evening.
Temperatures drop 10 to 15 degrees with the frontal passage and
are slowly falling thereafter. Winds shift to the north at 10-20
mph with some gusts to near 25 mph with frontal passage but the
stronger winds are lagging several hours behind the front. Thus
have adjusted the Wind Advisory to just include the northwestern
counties starting at 3 PM. To keep things simple, instead of
having 2 or 3 additional segments, have just included the rest of
the forecast area after 6 PM.

Looking at the vertical temperature profiles for this evening,
and some brief weak isentropic upglide, have adjusted the
precipitation type across the northern two tiers of counties to
include a mention of light freezing rain/sleet or snow across the
northern two thirds. The precipitation is expected to be light and
the air at the lower levels will be drying. Thus no significant
travel problems are expected but will keep an eye on the
northeastern counties where the lift and moisture will be best.

Winds are out of the north now. Leaves are blowing the other way and definitely already cooler. Frisco area.

Just stop ... seriously. You're trolling. Unless you show us hard numbers to support your assertion, stop with these posts. I checked the Houston forecast per NWS and the forecasted lows DROPPED a degree from yesterday's forecast.

Hopefully you will take this hint. Next time you earn a vacation.

Front hit Denton airport 10 minutes ago. Dropping about a degree a minute... From 66 to 57! Not at my house in south Denton yet so haven't gotten to experience the wind yet!

I'm baking in the mid 80 s from strong south winds from Mexico and the panhandle is about 10 degrees LOL a 70 degree difference. I think I'll go surfing today because this looks like it until spring. After the water gets in the 50 s you get ice cream headaches every time you duck under a wave while paddling back out. It really does feel like "brain freeze" and it does hurt. :double:

It's the same thing with that person in a poll thread on khou. The cold front is not a fail and HGX already issued a freeze warning for part of the area and a statement with it. 30s and maybe low 40s for highs is nothing to sneeze at!

It just hit my house in northern rockwall county. Sitting outside in shorts frying a turkey and it's 77 degrees. Wind just shifted and it's down to 73. There's no line of clouds associated with it if anyone is wondering. Just a wind shift and noticeably falling temps.

Yeah, the clouds I saw earlier disappeared. Just put in some slow cooker beef stew. Should be nice and cold outside in time to eat it.
