30 degrees with a very light drizzle falling. Not enough to matter but visible on the windshield.

It's made it through most of Austin, just walked outside and can really feel the temp coming down.

Arctic air mass much colder than models forecasted and moving faster than first thought. I thinking upper teens early Sunday morning and staying mid 20's across DFW metro all day. May not get above 32 as far south as Waco. :cold:

Temp at the PWC dropped 10 degrees in 15 minutes. Still dropping. Had frontal passage at 7:10 pm, a little earlier than anticipated.

Looking at the weather station at the Cherokee County Airport, temp dropped from 74 to 46 in one hour. And still plummeting!

Opted to stand outside in advance of the frontal boundary to catch the winds... those leaves hurt more than I expected! :( The thermometer on my phone showed a 15-20 degree drop while I was outside. Luckily everyone's trash bins are in the backyard or protected from the winds and not standing perilously on the curbs... otherwise there'd be quite a cleanup operation tomorrow morning in the frigid cold!

I would love to sit outside and experience that kind of sudden temperature drop. We just went from 60 to 45 over a couple of hours with rain and some thunder but not a lot of wind.

Was pretty neat because I had gotten a txt from a friend that lives by the Domain saying it had arrived there. Was still calm and warm here but about 5 min later the first gust arrived. :cold:

My mom has this flying squirrel that has been staying in a birdhouse above her bedroom window. They were sitting on the porch this evening and it was keeping them company. Hope that lil fella stays warm the next few days!
