Front just came through my area a little bit ago, dropping the temp from 75 to 68, so it seems were on our way in the DFW area

It is 27º here in Houston, and 29º in Dalhart, Texas

Of course, I'm mixing the Farenheit and Celcius scales here

yeah...its pretty far ahead of schedule...front came through about half an hour ago after meandering over us for a while, and dropped the temp from 76 to as of right now, 58.9...i think its gonna get colder tonight then predicted, since the low is 55 and were at 59 right now

And here I am about 20 miles east of you and it's in the mid-70's. Just before dark I was out in the garage doing some work and sweating my tail off. Send that cool air this way. Looks like the A/C will be running again tonight.

Wow thats amazing it took so long to reach you guys even though youre just a little east of me. Here its 52 degrees according to weatherbug...but if things go the same for yall as they did here, the temp should be dropping pretty steady over the next few hours. It was almost 80 degrees before the front came through this afternoon and weve already surpassed our low for tonight.

Yup, can all 3.5 seasons in Texas in a day. Sometimes in the same place.

83ºF (28ºC) in Houston today.

High in Dalhart, TX was 32ºF at midnight, and has been slowly dropping since. 25º now. Freezing mist.

There's a personal weather station in my neighborhood. According to it's temp readings today, the temps here started dropping around 7:45 and went down 10 degrees since then. That's not very impressive temp drop. I remember the front last January. I was on my way home from work and drove into the front, the temp immediately dropped 12 degrees, then I drove out of the front, then back into it again with the windows of my car fogging up both times I drove into it. That was an impressive frontal boundary.

From the Houston NWS...

AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HOUSTON/GALVESTON TX
908 PM CST SAT DEC 8 2007

.DISCUSSION...
LOW CLOUDS FILLING IN ACROSS THE REGION. DON`T EXPECT MUCH MORE OF
A TEMP DROP OVERNIGHT WITH DEWPOINTS NOT MUCH LOWER THAN CURRENT
TEMPS ALONG WITH LIGHT TO MODERATE SE WINDS. THAT BEING SAID...WILL
NUDGE LOWS UP JUST A TOUCH FOR THE UPDATE. DEWPOINTS AT 42035 ARE
RUNNING 66 DEGREES...JUST AROUND 3 DEGREES WARMER THAN THE WATER
TEMPS. HOWEVER...DEWPOINTS RIGHT NEAR THE IMMEDIATE COAST AND
BAYS A BIT HIGHER AND STILL SOMEWHAT FAVORABLE FOR SEA FOG
DEVELOPMENT. GALVESTON VISBY`S JUST TANKED SO THERE IS OBVIOUSLY
AREAS OF SEA FOG AROUND SO WON`T MAKE MANY ADJUSTMENTS ON THAT.

FRONT A NOW A BIT FURTHER SOUTH THAN 12Z & 18Z MODELS SUGGESTED.
INCOMING 00Z NAM HAS THIS BOUNDARY PUSHING INTO NORTHER PORTIONS
OF SE TX SUN AFTN THEN HANGING UP NEAR THE COAST SUN NIGHT & THRU
THE DAY MONDAY. NAM12 MIGHT END UP BEING THE MODEL OF CHOICE GOING
AHEAD AS IT MIGHT HANDLE THE VERY SHALLOW FRONT A LITTLE BETTER.
WILL LET THE MIDNIGHT CREW MAKE ANY ADJUSTMENTS BEYOND THE 1ST
PERIOD AS THEY`LL BE ABLE TO TAKE A LOOK AT THE REST OF THE 00Z
MODEL SUITE.

I remember a hard freeze when I was living in Orlando in 1984. Or maybe it was 1983.

I guess I was lucky to be there for the once every decade freeze.

The Orlando International airport hit 19.9F during the 1983 freeze and areas north of the city were even colder. Up in Tallahassee, FL, the low reached 14F.
