Thanks for the updates folks. And msstateguy83 has been bold on this since last week. If this pans out, I think some serious cred is flowing his way. ;)

He's not the only one...lol

Been watching this patteren take shape since last week. Watching the next one now for Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, hope it's good for the 30th, going to the AAC for Trans-Siberian Orchestra

LOL! Sorry to leave you out CC. ;) I was gonna tell the kiddo's about this, but think it would be better to let them wake up in the morning and see it. Plus, would rather not get their hopes up and then it goes kaput with nothing but a cold rain. ;)

The Dallas Fort Worth area they're calling for up to one inch, so I'd say 1 inch, and possibly more, possibly less.

Models call for anywhere between 1" +, I would go all out and say a unexpected crap load...lol

Ok, so I know the snow has not fallen yet, but I remember about 15 days ago the models were showing snow around this time. It went away and now last minute it is back. Any thoughts?

Yeah, don't trust the models....they suck for forecasting winter storms

The GFS at 150 hours shows a pretty good winter storm for most of Texas. Next couple of weeks are going to be fun!

Based on what I'm seeing from the 0z GFS, I can believe 1-2 inches of snow in the DFW Metroplex, especially in the nothern half of the Metroplex.

That makes the latest NAM and GFS on board.

And if this verifies ... I will give msstateguy83 the Storm 2K Rabbit Out of the Hat Award!

I think its amazing how you all predict this stuff way out. I am clueless but I read it any way, hoping it starts to look less foreign. :P
Anywayz. I'm so infinitely disappointed with snow forecasts for our area. 9 times out of 10 when we are going to get snow in Dallas it is to the north and the west of us. Its like as the whole system pushes through, we are barely touched. What is it about this place? Its like we have an indivisible shield against snow. Sorry just wishing for more.

Well with any luck, Portastorm and I may see some interesting weather with the New Years and January 5th events suggested by the GFS. :double:
