So we should post inaccurate comments done for dramatic purpose?

Its insulting to people's intelligence.

If we all make up stuff... then this board becomes a total joke.

Nothing personal against Dennis here. Its a fact of all weather forums.

You hit the nail of the head. It is a weather forum - not the National Weather Service. No one is going to live or die because of inaccuracies. If you don't like or agree with what you read, there's no need to go into attack mode.

And yes, I think you are being personal against Dennis. jmo

TT-SEA -

It's absolutely amazing how you only post a few times at around the same time of the year and regarding the same complaint. Your last post prior to these most recent ones was last Winter, 2007 and then the March of 2006.

I see a pattern, do you???

Gee, give the poor guy a break.

Other than the comment "more snow than the last three years" or something to that effect, his comments don't seem that inaccurate to me as he always post the actual warnings/forecast from noaa. It seems like a minor slip up.

As far as being a bit dramatic, a lot of people do that. Especially the news media. I always see newspapers in some cities with headlines such as "Eight inches of snow shuts down city" or something to that effect. I mean give me a break. The media is far worse.

Anyway, I hope AZSnowman comes back.

I know prickly pear grows everywhere, and our local Latinos make a delicious dish, a cross between green peppers and green beans, from the "nopalitos".

I woner if saguaro would transplant well in South Texas. There is a cactus store on I-45 near the Sheperd Curve in Houston that has had a saguaro in a pot for years, nobody has purchased it, apparently.

But it is such a scenic cactus, if it would grow where the prickly pear and other cactus grows, I'd think it would be a great landcaping plant.

I know the Big Bend National Park, in Texas, has more species of cactus than any other national park in the USA.
