Snow?? Is that the white stuff that is usually cold and flaky?? :) :)

Never seen the stuff myself! Except for flurries and some hail but I guess that doesnt count. I would like to see or at least visit some snow this year!

Anyway, how many feet of snow would 8 inches of rain be? Anyone know?? I can dream, ya know. ;)

Well with a 10-1 ratio Kelly that would be 6 1/2 ft.............more or less 80inches!!

How is that for a tone of snow! :D

BTW that is a ton of rain you got! :o

Suzi Q

Snow in Southeast Texas?

#35 Postby Suzi Q » Wed Nov 26, 2003 8:34 am

I can just picture it now. Frank Billingsley will send out every available camera crew while standing outside the studio saying "Yes folks, this is real snow. Yes, real snow. I can't tell you why it happened. I predicted maybe a light frost". Dr. Frank will allot 10 minutes to tell us how he DID predict it and exactly what atmospheric conditions caused the actual snowfall, which no one will understand. Ed Brandon will run screaming into his dressing room saying "Snow? What snow? I've never touched the stuff. This white powder on my table, well it's snow, that I brought in to use on camera, yeah that's it. It's really snow. Why is my nose white? I don't know, I was trying to show folks what snow smelled like, yeah that's it. My last drug test came back clean, I swear". All regular programming will be pre-empted to give LIVE COVERAGE and UP TO THE MINUTE CONDITIONS . HISD will NOT close schools making hundreds of thousands of kids slip and slide on the sidewalks attempting to get to their bus stop. The emergency rooms willl be packed with adults who attempted to walk their kids to their bus stops and slipped and fell breaking various and assorted limbs. Wayne Dolchifino will file a special report on how the snowfall is actually part of a conspiracy among the chemical plants. Mayor Bill White/Orlando Sanchez will declare a state of emergency as the tollway and the loop become impassable because everyone is using them as ski ramps. And last, but not least, ticka, southern gale and I will all stand outside and scream at the top of our lungs "We told you so, Other HD" as we turn him into a human snowman. Bring on the snow, we're ready!
