THE SECOND HALF OF THE 03/04 WINTER --- WHAT DOES IT HOLD:

Wow, Jeb, You really want that 36 inches inches! Dang! lol.... You should have seen my house after the President Day blizzard, on my porch, about 35-38 inches of snow on it!

Over 28 inches of snow fell during Presidents Day 2003 in Baltimore at BWI. I had 22.5 inches of snow at my house in Essex, MD. This was followed by 1 inch of sleet on top of that. That hardening of the snow thanks to sleet caused many roof collapses. The B&O railroad fell victim to this storm as half it's roof collapsed to the floor.

Don, How much snow did you get from the superstorm? High Point got over 26 inches from that storm.......... As FLguy said, If this a bit east. I bet the NYC area would have gotten 24-34 inches of snow..........

Well one thing for sure Flguy it diffentey going to be a very interisting seascond half of the winter with the pattern full of possablteys.So far for this winter it has been the Northeast and also the Pacific North west that has seen the best of the deel as far as cold and most of the snow is concern.But south of Philly it has it been all that great.But then again as some have stated neturl east winters trend to accually behave this way.Which are normall pretty good winters for the Northeast but fruther south you go the less cold and or snow you find.And also alot of r/s line problems south of philly I-95.And today once again is no exceation to that rule of this winter.As you said Flguy and someothers have also stated to change the pattern one that would accually favor those that have missed most of the action this far.Is for one the QBO to go weak east and Westry and as you said there no question about it going west next month.And 2.To get El nino going in Febuarey -March as you also started if this indeed does happen. place further south would get more chances for some good snows in febuarey and March.And also More snow in the Northeast.With a possablty of a major storm in the febuarey -March time frame.So very intersitng and once again challening times ahead.

The Superstorm of 1993 was interesting but even with that system, Woodbridge got 8 inches then managed to see hours of heavy, heavy rain then it went back to snow and gave us 11 inches total.

Man I can't begin to tell ya about how much I HATE that Rain/Snow line!!! The Price I've had to pay winter after winter after winter!!!! ARRGGHH!!!
