Depends on the marinal influence and the timing of the moisture ... right now, I can't exactly pinpoint the Carolinas yet...

I hope there is not a big mild rain event into the NE because of all the snowpack and all the ice on those rivers!!! One huge mild mild rain event all at once is NOT the way to do it in the Northeast. If there were several inches of rain plus mild temps melting much of the snow there at the same time, we could see a major, major Catastrophe in the Northeast----and I do mean Catastrophe with a big capital C. There would be horrific flooding not only because of the snowmelt and the rainfall, but the rivers would jam with icepacks and the flooding would be something that I hope NEVER ever happens to those folks.
