In addition to the acorns falling early, I noticed two of my azaleas had blooms. Now that is wierd. I think we're in for a nasty rainy winter. I just hope it doesn't flood like the last El Nino I remember. I getting to old to fill and tote sandbags. Talk about not being civilized. There were so many filling sandbags I got hit in the back of the head with a shovel. If it happens this year, I'm going to buy bags of dirt and store them for the garden, and if I need sandbags, I can use those. I think the house we are in now if slightly higher than the last one we lived in and the drainage is better so hopefully we won't have a problem except for some sheds.

Last year was terrible here. The leaves started changing in early October sometime, like usual, but there was a brutal Indian Summer and all of the leaves weren't gone until about mid-November or so, about a half-month behind schedule. Some trees are already starting to shed their leaves around here, but most of them are still green.
