I got down to 32.0. Now at 32.2, so I bet NWS is fairly right to expect DFW all above freezing later, though I don’t think by much. But enough to avoid any icing danger.

You are right. I love the rain but we set a record this morning. The record for the coldest rain EVER without freezing in the history of cold rain.

Based on the radars I’m looking at it looks like the warmup is starting and most of DFW, including the normal burbs, should be above freezing in the next hour if they aren’t already.

Meanwhile, down south from you Metroplexers, we have a Flash Flood Watch in effect for 2-3" of rain today. Our soils are saturated here in south central Texas and this rain will likely close more low water crossings and flood low-lying and typical flood prone areas.

Just sitting here in Wichita Falls wondering what we're going to get out of this. I've heard a couple inches of snow, sleet, ice, freezing rain, or just cold rain. Hope it isn't just cold rain.

Yes, temps starting to creep back up again after falling to around 32. The increase seemed to coincide with the heavier rain.

HRRR has all of N. Texas warming well into the 30s over the next 4 or 5 hours. So we will know soon enough if we are headed for a massive model bust or not on temps.

I am now at 32.4 with the rain, so I am feeling confident there will be no bust today unfortunately. Probably will get to 35-36.

It’s almost looking like some parts of DFW are gonna dip down to freezing again soon.

Roads, non bridges and such, seem still wet here in Denton at the UNT campus. There's a glaze of ice on cars, plants, trees and signs. Just cold and wet.

We have gone from 36.2, to 36.8 and now it’s 36.4. And still cold rain.

Still a steady 35 degrees here at the Weatherdude Center since I awoke this morning. Light to occasionally moderate/heavy rain here. 1.5 inches I think (checking from indoors through window), and counting. I go back to work tomorrow after almost two weeks off. Glad I'm off today!

Showing 30 degrees at my house here in Aledo. Ground is wet, but all trees, bushes, elevated surfaces are all icy. Quite the picture. NWS forecasting 1-3 inches of snow in our area tomorrow with temps around 33? What’s up with that?

HRRR is running warm it has the freeze line back to a WF to Breckenridge line. It is still 28 along that line. RGEM still seems to have best handle on temps though it is a tad too warm also.

Fort Worth Meacham airport currently shows 31 and alliance shows 32 currently. That hasn’t moved since this morning. Dew point is at 30 degrees at alliance right now.
Addison is at 32 and Denton is at 31 with even more reports of minor icing in Denton. Dew point is a steady 30 at all airports except Denton where dewpoint is 29.

Been raining/freezing rain here in Weatherford. Has warmed up to 31 degrees, but oddly enough, now a bit of sleet is mixing in with the rain.
