It may look like it on radar but that is not what is happening on the ground. Dynamics are very strong, it may start as a mix but will quickly change to snow. A loft is quite cold at the moment.

Good, it will be worth waking up early to see it fall.

We'll still need to get lucky a bit. Denton county has been under the heaviest reflectivity to give them a boost and so will Collin County. The band is only 30-50 miles across so won't last very long at any one location.

Light rain being blown around here. Could be some flurries mixed in, hard to tell with all the wind.

FW (Alliance) is reporting light snow. Went from 41F to 35 in about a 30 minute span once the precip moved in.

Quite a few people will be in for a surprise when they wake up. Temp is 33 so it will melt slowly but for now this is awesome. I forgot how it's brighter at night from all the lights reflecting off the snow. Good dusting here.

That's what happened here, precip started and the temp tumbled, could see it dropping in real time.

Based on our posters nearby and radar it looks like the airport and adjacent areas is about to changeover.

Just looked out. Nothing. Radar looks like the southern end evaporated that was stronger. What the heck? Looks to be snowing north of me. Back to bed. Enjoy it north. Post pics. Looks very heavy!

Yep, it is closing in. As I type, snow is beginning to fall in Irving!!!! Mixed with rain.

Just remember unless DFW airport gets any none of this happened and we are still in a snow drought.

It will still be just a dusting at most if that. Had that already in Jan '17.
