When the wind blows we have white stuff drifting all over Hwy. 98 out on Okaloosa Island, that's as close to drifting snow as we will ever get down here.

Free snow: completely free, available now, in Minneapolis and nearby cities and towns -- take absolutely as much as you like (preferably starting with my driveway?).

This thread - what a riot!!!

Thought I was the only one who got so excited about snowfall...he he Of course, up here, we do tend to get snow - sorry, don't get too upset now....LOL!!! But many storms seem to pass my area by - honest, they do (past several winters....).

That said, I think I'll bookmark this thread and keep an eye on it......

Here's hoping Frick 'n Frack get snow this winter!!!

From the Lake Charles NWS discussion:

SOUNDINGS INDICATE A
COMPLETE CHANGEOVER TO ALL SNOW BY MORNING EVEN AS FAR SOUTH AS
THE COAST BUT THICKNESS FIELDS SHOW MORE OF A MIXED BAG. SINCE WE
ARE TALKING ABOUT SRN LA/SERN TX IN DECEMBER...FEEL BETTER KEEPING
A MIXED MENTION IN THE GRIDS/ZONES FOR NOW.

.HAVE
INCLUDED A SMALL ACCUMULATION OF FROZEN PRECIP IN THE GRIDS FOR
TONIGHT WHICH WOULD WARRANT A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY BASED ON
LOCAL CRITERIA. HOWEVER HAVE ELECTED TO HOLD OFF ON SUCH AN ISSUANCE
FOR NOW TO LET LATER FORECASTS BETTER REFINE THE WINTER WEATHER
THREAT.

WOW! Going to be a verrrry interesting night for sure. Could we be surprised and see an inch or more of snow? It's possible if it comes down heavy enough.

Bre and i just did our grocery shopping. We're both going with chili for tonights menu. Perfect dinner for what could possibly be a perfect night! Hopefully the precip holds up and the temps get low enough!

Is the train in Beaumont yet? Radar indicates snow all the way to Beaumont now. We don't want Frack to freeze waiting at the station!!! :cold: :cold: :froze: :froze:

The snow isn't getting any closer, anymore. It looks like I'll miss out again, just like 2004. Oh well, I should have known better than to get my hopes up. pfft!
