Note that most of the driveway was done by my friend with a Bobcat, which is good or this would take us days...

It's actually still snowing here (ocean effect snow) and wind is still high. Marstons Mills (Cape Cod), MA. But we've a head start on the cleanup.

Your NYC photo

#43 Postby Persepone » Tue Jan 25, 2005 11:14 am

Is the NYC photo the turn off to City Island?

I've fond memories of a huge storm in early 1960s when we skiied all around NYC down the West Side Highway (it was intact then) and back up on the East Side Highway...

As a native New Yorker (born in Manhattan), your photos make me homesick. Moved here 6 years ago from Fairfield County, CT. Lots of friends in White Plains, Mamaroneck, Larchmont area... Many of my daughter's friends are there too.

That's water out there...

Those guys on the Stop & Shop roof are big construction workers... not midgets. Even so, they are dwarfed by the snowdrifts on the roof...

We cleared a bunch of the snow off our roof the same way.. Snow is heavy!
