Off topic - can someone create a sticky post at the top of the main forum on how to post images for both pc and mobile? I think I’ve learned it twice and forgotten it 3 times over the years

Also, my bad if this already exists somewhere and I didn’t see it

But, I bet only 29 today, which is colder than yesterday and will allow for tonight to get even colder if we have any CAA. For not being the main shot, this initial wave of cold is pretty darn impressive by itself for Texas honestly.

:cold: It would be the signature cold snap by itself in a normal winter to be a few days below freezing. In 2018 we were all excited to finally have a day in the 20s Arctic outbreak. And now it's just... :na: no biggie. If we had clearing this morning probably could have made it to the teens.

Not sure what the Euro says but saying both events are moving in quicker. Euro does look deeper for both Sunday night and Wednesday event.

Hi All - need some advice. I am in Houston looking to drive to Dallas Friday morning/early afternoon and return to Houston early Sunday. It seems Houston and Dallas roads may be OK (I know there's still uncertainties) , but I am concerned with the areas in between on i-45. With what you all are seeing right now, do you think it's possible to make this trip? Any advice is appreciated!

the 2018 freeze was not fun when you come home to your apartment flooded because the fire sprinkler system froze and busted.

Looks like all models are giving the most of the eastern half of Texas 1-2" QPF next week. In areas where the warm nose is not a problem and assuming sub 25F surface temps for both events the snow totals will be extreme.

Still increased potential to go to the extreme with these two upcoming systems next week....GEFS has mean QPF of over 1 inch for DFW, that's some amazing/extremely rare moisture potential into an Arctic Airmass like this.

Is that an outflow boundary moving north towards DFW from that cluster of storms down by Waco?

Been precipitating consistently since around 8:30 this morning. Icicles and weighted down, frosty trees everywhere! I heard a chunk of ice fall out of the the tree outside my window! Finally letting up now. Still 31. But it looks like ice is melting, for now.

Is there a website that shows the ensembles for the other models like College of Dupage does for GEFS? I'd like to see the ensemble members outputs for the CMC, ICON, etc.
