They happen (most of the time) during growing +ENSO (Nino) for the rest of the year, or they are a continuation of a "double dip" event. This is newsworthy for Spring and Summer.

I don't know anything about weather I'm just interested and fascinated by it. I said that to say why is this newsworthy for spring & summer? Does it mean a hot spring & summer? Sorry for my silly question.
Thanks!

Its not too bad actually. We will swing from warm to cold with regular precip. Zonal into Canada is what kills us in the winter.

Yeah precipitation has been sketchy from the start. Can’t really say now but that’s the main thing we’re searching for.

I wouldn't, moisture content is terrible, maybe a snowflake or two to a lucky one.

Re: Texas Winter 2018-2019
Some clouds are rolling through in the night sky. Not thick, just some high clouds at last check. Just need to see the moisture expand northward, temps do not appear to be an issue. Plenty cold right now. Brrrrrrr.

Re: Texas Winter 2018-2019
25 here so again beat forecast by 4 degrees. Now lets see if we reach 40 today. I doubt it. I'll be watching C TX this afternoon to see how much saturation occurs. SHV talking about some frontogenesis which could boost totals around and north of here. They are mentionng spotty light accumulations.
