So there's a small empty parking lot behind me. The snow is blowing like sand on it. Surreal for Texas, no?

The radar is starting to changeover (blue) in some areas so I'm guessing the warm layer must be cooling.

It seems more snow than sleet now. Anyway to post videos from phone?

Perhaps someone with better technical skills can assist. One way I know is to upload into your youtube channel, and embed it using the "youtube" icon.

This reminds me of the beginning of the 09-10 xmas eve snow event. Very fine/grained snow flying, not the kind that goes from sky to ground.

Yeah the flakes aren't that big but they are blowing up and sideways.

I concur and it's crazy to see blow around and not melt on my driveway.

1 foot drift by noon on your driveway?

Doubtful, front facing direct east. Back looks due west with no obstruction. Those winds from the west two weeks ago ripped up my roof, my house and the others around me had quite a few tiles ripped up on the west side.

I went out just a minute ago and it was just blowing around. Just wanted to see that before it got covered up.

Moderate sleet here in Burkburnett. Nothing really showing on the radar though.

Nice big powder flakes falling at a good clip here in Arlington now. Starting to coat the driveway.

I’ve got a back patio door facing north. Watching the snow blow into the back patio door. Maybe I’ll end up with a nice snow drift against it.

Can here the pings on my grill and everything is coated

Wondering if the this dry slot isn’t over dfw since it’s the first place precip is falling? That good or bad sign or means nothing really?

Edit: sleeting hard enough it sounds like rain from inside

The road here is turning white despite being very light. It may not be heavy but it is sticking like no other.
