According to the NBC5 app radar, parts of Tarrant county should be seeing some flakes.

Hearing some reports of snow south FW. Nothing here in north FW at least IMBY. But, radar shows it ending, so not looking good.

This is such a classic winter storm on radar compared to the puny things we have tracked the past few years. The snow zone is so close.

Right? The spinning low, big snow out west. Just too much warmth this time. Damn, what could have been if temps played along with this beautiful moisture.

Some of the snow pictures around Big Spring on FB looks like 10 inches. Very fast accumulations around Weatherford. This is a big storm. So jealous, and my wife is also very upset at missing out, which surprises me. Lol. I have talked about getting a snow machine, but I can’t justify buying an air compressor for two times a year, and it’s not the same as natural snow. I haven’t watched a storm like this one in years and am even following the MO/KS thread on another forum. Latest HRRR runs dump snow on OKC. This reminds me of my college days. I had multiple storms like this to follow in KS, and I remember one amazing storm with thunder snow that dumped a surprising foot. Miss those days, so excited to have anything to track. I believe it will happen this year finally.

FB Friends are posting legit snow in FW now, heavier than just a few flurries. Maybe it will come north with the low.

its kind of weird actually as much as it looks nice here in Abilene definitely not more than a couple inches imo it was coming down like crazy for a bit and peaked but then there was definitely a big lull. I'm wondering how much Eastland had as they seemed to be snowing during our lull... I almost stayed there instead. No regrets coming to Abilene because well its just more options on stuff but yeah I'm definitely curious to see the totals

also the roads seem to be in good shape I saw some cars moving on the interstate

What sucks really is how pretty and perfect the setup was. the ingredients were there for a blockbuster snowfall for the 35 corridor. And we just had to miss it! Got nothing in the hill country. Everything got dry slotted. HRRR had my hopes up with a few inches there for me to chase. Sigh.. Happy to new year though! It's still early to give up on snow

this whole thing has just been fascinating to me.... but I'm so ready for the DFW snowstorm we've been waiting on for way too long

Well the silver lining is at least with all the rain there should not be any fires from everyone shooting off fireworks right now in my neighborhood.
