HRRR wasn't exactly great for the last event but it wasn't terrible either. Did pretty well in seeing that we'd only get maybe a half inch at most of snow from Fort Worth east.

Seems like the trend on the HRRR is for the moisture going up in this event. Will see if it comes together.

Well it looks like most models are trending toward another signifcant winter weather event next week with two waves of energy coming through on Monday, then again on Wednesday, with Wednesday being the stronger of the two.

It will be interesting to see how things play out now considering the Euro has suggested this for two days in a row, as iorange55 pointed out, and now other models seem to be jumping on board.

This could be a critical situation for Texas considering many schools and business have been closed for several days, and the state is now in a Level 3 power emergency.

The following post is NOT an official forecast and should not be used as such. It is just the opinion of the poster and may or may not be backed by sound meteorological data. After next week though the models are not showing much of anything. I am ready for this winter to be over so the long range models are a welcome sight!

It depends on how much snow you get tonight, if any. If none, it's still gonna be close, via your report.

There is quite a bit of snow still on the main roads according to this site.
I guess side roads would be worse?

If it wasn't for the Super Bowl this weekend the roads would NOT be in this good of shape. With all the extra sand trucks and crews and the dozen snow plowls from Amarillo the main highways like I-20, I-30 and Hwy360 are in really good shape, but the 2nd tier Hwy's are still pretty icey.
