Only got 0.52” out of the rain despite being forecasted 1.5-2”. However the front came through hard yesterday and gave us another freeze this morning. Despite December kind of being a dud, we have picked up numerous freezes this month with the lowest temp 22. Merry Christmas y’all!

It looks like we will have a pleasant week or so ahead before the next system moves in.

Merry Christmas, everyone. My Christmas wish is that we will get winter wx from the Rio Grande up into Oklahoma in '24!

Merry late Christmas everyone! I've been a little inactive since I've been busy with some podiatric issues. Hopefully I can be on more now.

Summer's for hibernation, Winter’s my vacation

Don't use my posts as forecast, I'm a complete meteorology noob! I just like cold weather, alright?

All observations I post are for Temple, Texas unless otherwise stated.

Hopefully, everyone here had a very Merry Christmas yesterday and is now getting ready to enjoy a prosperous, snowy and cold New Year.

There was no White Christmas yesterday here along the Red River like there was in 2009 and 2012, but that’s okay. We had lots of family and friends to enjoy, and especially the first Christmas with our new grandson. Add in the meaning of the day, and it was a really great day in Denison!

And weather-wise, yesterday was fairly chilly and brisk and that surely beats shorts and flip flops weather, right?!? :D

Been like a ghost town in here so guess no excitement on the models yet. But Larry Cosgrove says it is coming

Ensembles definitely look a lot better than the operational runs, but then again the operational runs mean nothing beyond 5 days, sticking with ensemble guidance for now until i see more consistent agreement between the globals

12z GFS is hideous. The 12z Canadian is at least somewhat interesting. Getting to the part of the winter cycle where 7-10 day punts can start to add up and run out the clock :grr:

The 12z GEFS is way better than its operational run, I dont trust the GFS when the ensemble looks better than it, don’t put alot of stock into these individual runs,

One of the heavier frost I’ve seen this morning. Low of 23.
