Moderate snow in Jacksonville atm. We've gotten about an inch thus far.

Can't tell in the photo but it's coming down pretty good atm.

Ain't no Lucy here in ETX. We sent her to detention.

Im just teasing wxman57 :P no clue what summer will be like yet, we need a wet spring first that is more important. Past few Marches have been putrid rain wise. Hey good news is the AMO is flipping (perm or temp not sure yet) to go with our +PDO

Lucy is definitely an evil and tricky mistress. She took away what could have been 6+ inches of snow just like that.

Maybe we shouldn't blame Lucy, this one may have been off the side of Charlie Browns foot.

It's all that Dan Marino's fault. Everyone knows laces out. Einhorn is Finkle. Finkle is Einhorn.

I just don't feel right complaining when I got more than most people in the Metroplex, and then we have Porta in here who hasn't seen significant snowfall since the 1800s.

I'm just going to be happy with what I did receive. Still a little upset at myself for actually staying up the whole night. I don't know what I was thinking.

If it makes yall feel any better, which I doubt, at least yall got measurable amounts of rain. Another major bust weather wise over here again today. Four out of the last 6 days we had higher than 70% chance of rain at some point within that days forecast and have only received .20" And .17 of that was early this morning. Forecast was 100% widespread rain all day, nothing since before sunrise.

Here's a pic of my apartment's courtyard w/ the snow falling and what we have accumulated

We need someone from Texarkana to print out a pic of Wxman57's avatar and another of Lucy, and pin it to a tree trunk and make target practice of those two with snowballs!

Some pictures between Mesquite and Kaufman this morning in a couple of the heavy bands, if only they had formed over DFW or lasted longer lol

Spur of the moment little chase when it became obvious DFW was going to bust...

12z CMC looks interesting for Friday, I don't have very high hope after this event though.

Sorry you metroplexers missed out. One of the few times where East Texas south of I-20 had more luck than DFW. Oh well, there's always next year. At least yall got some good rain above Lavon and Fay Hubbard's watersheds.

CMC looks close to the SREF, I would watch the next couple of runs of the RGEM too as it did the best job on this morning's event imo.
(had the heaviest bands southeast of dfw and north of georgetown : http://www.tropicaltidbits.com/analysis ... 8633775956)

FWIW some models are showing a piece of energy(snow) moving across north texas around noon thursday.

Nothing that SouthernMet posts, is an official forecast, nor does it reflect views of STORM2K.. SouthernMet is just adding to the great discussions on STORM2K.. Refer to NWS for official forecasts.

Not sure it's worth much cuz this is Austin after all, but is it showing anything interesting for Austin?
