I'm in the heavier band according to radar in SE Austin. I Just spent several minutes outside. Snow coming down hard and fast like a squally rain, not the slow cotton ball type we had earlier this winter. At the rate it is coming down it is very nice like something you see in the Olympics at the top of the ski hill slalom:-)

A lot of sleet and ice down here in Corpus. Temp topped out at 34 today and started dropping around 4. Right now sitting at 24......

I am not a meteorologist. Anything posted by me should not be taken as an official forecast. Get your information from respected sources such as NWS and NOAA. I get my weather information the same way Hank Hill does ..... I look out the window and say ... "YUP".

Snow has ended here in Abilene. Hopefully more on Wednesday.

Temp quickly down to 12.7 and still dropping in the heavy snow. Under patio cover in SE Austin.

The wind is whipping in NW Houston, and the radar is filling in. We're about to be in for a ride for a few hours.

12F WC -4F and the big band is moving in. Expecting 6 to 10". Absolutely incredible. I have never seen this in all my time in the mountains to think of it in East Texas is mind boggling.

600 homes in Leander have lost gas services, so no way to heat their homes even with electricity. It's at 8 degrees in Leander.
