Don't even get me started on the snow maps... me and snow maps are breaking up. :P

I think the big negative tomorrow is dry air...

Here is the 12z NAM snow map for the same time period. Both NAM and RGEM are picking up on a heavier band of snowfall tomorrow but the NAM has it slightly further northwest. We all know that the NAM was too far north with yesterday's system though so maybe the RGEM is on to something?

Yeah, wxman's nose doesn't look like it's going to be a factor tomorrow. Just wonder how much precip will break out. I hope everyone sees at least a few flakes falling. It's disappointing when people on this board get left out.

Hey, it wasn't MY warm nose. If it was mine it would be at the surface. ;-)

He didn't even say that it was your warm nose. Just that it was your nose. Somehow it can affect weather, apparently.

Ah, it can have a tendency to do that...

Shoot, his warm nose was in 2011. August, I think.

I'll be honest I'm looking forward to a few days not worried about winter weather after Saturday.

NBC 5 has 70 on Tuesday.

The problem tomorrow is I think roads would be a mess with temps in the 20s even with a little snow.

That's an understatement...both the GFS and Canadian average almost 10-15 Deg F below normal over the next 10 days (Next Thursday has a chance to be even colder than this week) :double:

Still cold? YES. Still have a chance in March for snow in Houston? YES. Will this be the Winter that will rue Wxman 57? I hope so. :)

Folks in Texas are tired of freak cold Marches like the past 3. We haven't had a decent growing season for awhile and it doesn't help with rain. Unfortunately the signs point to another miserable March if you prefer spring to start early.

Snow in Houston in March is highly unlikely. We've seen measurable snow in March only once since 1895. That was in 1932. However, I guess there is a chance of snow in Houston in March, but it's less than 1%.

I love snow so much... but these last few days have just gotten me sick of all the threats and hype about it...

Thats impressive and not unrealistic. Northwest flow is your friend. Those clipper like systems can squeeze out whatever moisture there is.

Lloyd Christmas: What do you think the chances are of a guy like you and a girl like me... ending up together?

Mary Swanson: Well, Lloyd, that's difficult to say. I mean, we don't really...

Lloyd Christmas: Hit me with it! Just give it to me straight! I came a long way just to see you, Mary. The least you can do is level with me. What are my chances?

Mary Swanson: Not good.

Lloyd Christmas: You mean, not good like one out of a hundred?

Mary Swanson: I'd say more like one out of a million.

[pause]

Lloyd Christmas: So you're telling me there's a chance... YEAH!

Yep. Ryan Maue posted an early March map with a nice looking purple blob right over Texas. Not sure if it can be posted here, but it is on his Twitter page.

If it's on Twitter, then it's publicly consumable. Now if it was a pay site with login restrictions, that's different.

Latest CFS is one of the colder runs I've seen over a 45 day stretch....no end to winter anytime soon if that run were even close to verifying.

Ntxw - Greenland Block is finally showing up and should lock the cold in for quite awhile
