Yep, approaching 3 inches in the Midcities....RGEM is the King of this pattern, impressive!

Yes the flakes are big and fat again. Alliance was at 3 inches awhile ago, surely they are closing in on 4-5

NIce back-building across Wise County right now...that area might be approaching 6 inches

People think the roads are bad now? Wait until the sun goes down, there's going to be insane amounts of icing a all over the place. Then if we get freezing drizzle, it will get even worse.

RGEM does seem to be king right now though I wish it was right when it showed the snow making it over here. Even the 12Z GFS showed it making it over here. I can't complain too much because we still have snow on the ground from Wednesday. Hope we don't get too much ice tonight.

So I noticed they already have sleet in the forecast next Wednesday... :double:

and both the GFS and Euro looked quite interesting in that timeframe.

While I'd be shocked if that verified, the trend is the friend idea is the main thing. It does appear that another front and potential winter storm system will affect the state later next week. Maybe, just maybe, we can get Portastorm and friends in ATX in the action this time!

Started snowing exactly 7 hours ago in Denton and it's still snowing. Up to about 5 inches total now. I can just imagine that being encrusted in freezing drizzle in the morning. City of Denton has told everyone to get their kids home safe from school and stay off the roads. Winter didn't foresake me!!!!

Snowing at a pretty good clip here again. If this keeps up a little while longer, we'll end up with around 3-inches.

But curiously enough, the road in front of my house is still just basically wet (75% wet, 25% snow).

I expect things to get pretty slippery however when the sun descends.
