0.9" as of 6am storm report.

That was before the current/ongoing weenie band, of course.

Ended up with about 1/2” of snow and sleet here in Round Rock. Fun, little event.

Texas Winter 2024-2025

Woke-up to about 4" here on flat surfaces. It's beautiful.

It's too bad the coastal areas over here couldn't cash in. Models just don't handle Gulf lows and snow very well. Cold-core ULL features are a lot more straightforward. I think the folks here who have been along for the ride the last couple of weeks were warned to watch out for warm air issues that are not modeled well.

It's a beautiful winter wonderland here this morning! Just measured...about 1.5 inches so far and still coming down pretty good! Guessing I'll end up with a little over 2 inches.

Hope y'all enjoy snow today and take advantage of a rare event down there. My nieces in Lafayette are loving it. Hopefully DFW will get another shot this winter.

French quarter. That's quite a show out there, with blowing snow at times.

Wind only gusting to 35 mph. I guess that makes a blizzard in south Louisiana. Galveston sea buoy reporting NE 45 gusting 60 kts.

Nice weather for a bicycle ride I believe.

At 290/Beltway 8 Houston, we received maybe an inch, and no accumulation on the streets or driveways (which I found to be odd). Still fun.

This is about what my front yard looks like in Edmond. Mesonet temps ranged from -2 to 1 this morning across OKC.
