Don't worry it will come. People may not like the models prediction of cold, but we don't need any model to tell us 90s and 100s will be here soon for 90+ days. You will get your wish sir!

Ok I have to admit if we are not going to have snow (and that looks unlikely for what remains of this winter) I am ready for some 80 degree days.

12Z Euro is in enough to cover this week. A plot of 24-hr snowfall (in centimeters) indicates very light amounts for Texas but heavier snow in south Louisiana. The snow algorithm on these charts is quite bad for the Gulf coast. No snow for south Louisiana.

Second graphic is 12hr precip covering Thursday. Values are in millimeters. Just a trace of precip across north Texas.

Oh, and here's an incredible video of the aftermath of the Slovenia ice storm that hit this week:

You might have missed my link in the post above. Take a look at this video shot yesterday in Slovenia. It's of an ice storm that I think hit the area Sunday.

Ok. I'm changing my request to not only knocking down the temps a few degrees at the surface, but throughout the column :D

No snow ok, I just hope for more rain. I talked to Denise Hickey at the NTMWD and she stated the rumor of Stage 4 water restrictions is just that, a rumor. However good news, the pipeline from Texoma to Lavon is getting closer to being complete.

I hope the driver in that vid was wearing something like a GoPro camera. That's crazy and it would be interesting to see what that area looks like sans mass quantities of ice.

Wxman the models show that it could be cold enough for frozen precip here, if not snow would that be freezing rain or sleet? The GFS is dry but does show surface temps close to freezing here.

The pipeline goes to 4 treatment facilities, 2 opening up in May and 2 in June. I hope it'll help. We still need the rain or 24 inches of snow melt.

Do these treatment plants prevent the spreading from one lake to the other? Man these mussels are costly :( Does the recent drought condition play a role in the growing population?
