Kids have close to 7 in Nola. We have to be pushing 4 in Pensacola. It’s coming down hard now. I’ll take some shots and post next.

Florida appears to have beaten their state record from 1954 already. Over 5 inches reported on X

Odd to think the Gulf coast has gotten more snow this winter than I have so far.

Just measured 4 inches in Psce, just to the east of Pensacola and still coming down...not HUGE flakes, but just pouring little flakes.

I've got between 6 and 7 in my yard with moderate snow and probably a couple of more hours of it. I'm only about 5 miles south of the NWS, so that 6" record is in jeopardy.

Pensacola shattered their old record it looks like..

I’m just so happy for all of us. I don’t think anybody lost out (if so, I’m so sorry!) that was expecting snow and, if anything, everyone got way more than they expected when we went to bed last night. It’s just surreal.

Cold rain just started in Tally with the snow line 10 miles west of my house. The temperature has dropped from 47 to 37 in an hour and a half.
It looks like the frontogenesis (probably spelled that wrong) the NWS Tallahassee was talking about earlier today has formed along the Panhandle with snow and rain filling in. They said it could send the snow totals over 6 inches where that band sets up.

Re: Deep South Winter 2024-2025
With the airport already at 4.6 inches and radar returns indicating at least light snow all the way back towards Slidell I’d say that Mobile’s all-time record is in severe jeopardy.
This certainly beats any snow event I’ve seen down here. There’s at least 4?inches in my yard alone. I could probably do with some snowshoes right about now.

Almost 5 inches now in Pace, almost an entire inch in the last hour. With more to come... Still coming down pretty good.

If I didn't know any better, I'd swear that was somewhere in Michigan or Minnesota...

They'll probably get to 7. Pensacola likely more than that.
