Denton is reporting light snow this morning with the radar showing blue around the city. Not sure if there is ground truth or reading error?

This system is pretty much what we expected, we needed the rain, it's not going to get much above low 40s and upper 30s today, and we will remain below normal temp wise thru the weekend and into early next week.

After a brief warm up mid week it looks like another big cool down coming after the 14th and chances for winter fun pick up as we head toward the end of the year. :ggreen:

I'm just south of Denton. Nothing but rain here and 38*. Hopefully we can at least see a few flakes as the system exits this afternoon.

Got .70 in north FW. Not as much as I wanted, but at least DFW is above normal for the month again a bit east.

Some big flakes starting to fall in Midland. It’s not very heavy, but the flakes are huge!

Snowing in Abilene at my wife’s family’s place. One of the few times I wish I was there. Lol. I’m really jealous of her brother in Lubbock. Multiple inches on the ground.

Looks like I got 3.72", not bad at all. The entire metro got a good solid amount without really any flooding issues. All in all a great event.

Also looks like the snow line is creeping ever so closer DFW. I'll be rooting for you guys in seeing some of the white stuff today.

I can’t figure photos out. Boards really should have a way to post photos quickly in 2018. Imgur code did nothing.

Lubbock....definitely 6 to in my mind 8 inches there...overperforming there:

5.42" at TeamPlayersBlue weather center in Sugar Land. Was hammering down for like an hour at one point. Could have done without the 1 am flash flood warning on the phone though.

Good luck to you DFW folk! I think you will see some flakes!

NWS Fort Worth: 10:30am: Young Co Sheriff's Office reports snow and a little sleet mixing with rain near US 380 and FM 578 in western parts of the county. Roads just wet right now, but still use caution if out driving this morning.

Ripping it around WF. Not our luck this round for DFW but it was that close.

Also later this week is looking mildly interesting. Much stronger storm but looking for surface cold and moisture. This coming big trough is likely to be a blizzard if it pans out with low heights.
